The zeromicro™ project is two things at the same time: it is a building format and an integrated building management system.
(1) a zeromicro™ building is a net zero energy building comprised of micro-unit dwellings.
(2) a zeromicro™ Super Smart Meter and Monitor is an integrated utility metering and monitoring technology that allows residents and building owners to track utility usage at a granular level.
Our team
Louise Harpman – professor and architect – is the Director of the zeromicro™ Applied Research Consortium. She leads the building design, technology development, and partnership teams at New York University.
